Making the Iconic One Penn Center Mobile

Located on JFK Boulevard in Center City, the 670,000 square feet Class-A commercial office building sits above Suburban Station. It has undergone major renovation over the past five years while maintaining its Art Deco style. Several leading companies occupy the privately owned and managed building in downtown Philadelphia today, and its’ occupants and visitors will now enjoy mobile broadband connectivity via Extenet’s neutral-host in-building distributed antennae system (DAS) enabled on a shared communications infrastructure.

Ensuring safety for our tenants and visitors, alongside delivering top-class amenities, remain some of our key priorities,” said Mathew Thompson, Chief of Operations at One Penn Center. “As we continue to maintain over 90% occupancy in our building with many renowned tenants, we remain focused on enhancing our on-premise facilities and offerings for them. As part of our building renovation and automation efforts, we have modernized our elevators with a sophisticated computerized call system, made our building highly energy efficient with over 700 individually controlled heat pump units providing customized climate control, and have now engaged Extenet for mobile broadband connectivity. We look forward to Extenet’s expertise in delivering a multi-carrier network addressing the in-building connectivity needs of all our tenants and visitors soon.”
